Assessor's Office

Note regarding Grievance Day 2024:

Glenville Town Hall is open to the public during the hours of 9 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday.

The tentative roll will be filed on time as of May 1st. The tentative assessment roll may be viewed on-line or in-person (at Town Hall).

Grievance day is Tuesday May 28th, 2024. All grievance complaints must be received at the assessor’s office no later than the close of business on May 28th, 2024 on the NYS RP-524 form. All grievance complaints MUST be submitted in person or by mail. Grievance complaints may NOT be submitted by e-mail or other electronic method.

The Board of Assessment Review will be meeting, in person, on May 28th, 2024, between the hours of 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Glenville Town Hall, 18 Glenridge Road to hear complaints in relation to assessment on the filed application of any person believing to be aggrieved.

When submitting a grievance complaint, you have the choice to personally appear to present your case, or you may just submit the complaint without personally presenting your case to the Board of Assessment Review. It is not a necessary requirement to personally appear before the Board of Assessment Review as ALL grievance complaint forms (RP-524) will be deliberated. The Board of Assessment Review will mail Final Determination Notices by the end of June.

If you do choose to appear before the Board of Assessment Review to present your case, you must call the assessor’s office in advance to schedule an appointment.  Please note, there are no remote options to appear.

Further inquiries regarding the tentative assessment roll, or grievance day procedures, can be made by calling the assessor’s office at (518) 688-1200.
